If you love meat and cheese well I have the dip recipe for you! This is a family recipe I haven’t tried in years until this Christmas. I thought instead of the traditional meal, we would have finger foods and salad along with a great new dessert recipe I tried too. More about that in a minute. But first, Check out this awesome cheese dip you can mix up in the crock-pot until melted then keep on warm while it’s served. A very easy appetizer fix! 🙂
Crock-pot Cheese Dip
1 roll of pork sausage (I buy mild but that is your preference)
1 lb of ground beef
1 pint of sour cream
1 large container of Velveeta cheese
2 cans of Rotel tomatoes (mild or spicy, your preference)
Brown sausage, drain and set aside. Brown ground beef, drain and set aside. Mix all ingredients together. Put in the crock-pot, heat through (stirring occasionally). I start out on high to melt and blend then turn on ‘warm’. Serve with tortilla chips or your favorite crackers. Great for parties and holiday events. I’ve got 5 stars on my recipe card! I hope you agree.
I also tried a new recipe this year for “Peanut butter snowballs” from Sweet Tea and Cornbread. We loved them and they were a big hit! I had a hard time getting them to form into the right size but practice makes perfect. I’ll do these again a couple times next year. These would also be great for parties, showers and during your favorite sporting events! Here is a photo of the ones I prepared on Christmas Eve and the recipe link is below the image. Just follow it and get step by step directions and more photos!

I hope you enjoy these as much as we did. I added the recipe to my collection!
